Shipment of CSD500 Damen Dredger 2nd February 2012

Cockfield Knight & Co. Ltd. acted as freight forwarders for the movement of a 38.5m long dredger for final delivery to Luanda, Angola on behalf of Marina & Port Services Limited, Farnham.

The dredger was purchased by them for use in Luanda by their sister company Draimar Projects and needed moving from Damens yard in Nijkerk, Holland.

With assistance from our agents Aneka B.V. (big thanks to Jill & Christel !) it was shipped, after a few weeks of quoting and preparatory work, via the Port of Antwerp on board mv"UAL Gabon" on 2nd February 2012.

Thankfully the dredger is capable of being dismantled and shipped in seperate pieces, the heaviest of which being 63 tonnes. The total consignment consisted of 11 loose pieces and three 40' shipping containers.
